Publishing Panel with Margaret Busby    Wed. 17th March 10am – 11.30

Ahead of our main States 2021 publishing festival in April, we are pleased to welcome the pioneering editor, Margaret Busby, to speak as part of a panel on UK publishing. As co-founder of Allison & Busby, she was Britain’s youngest and first black woman publisher. Busby is joined by Leicester indie publisher Farhana Shaikh of Dahlia Books and Kimberley Redway, a Bloomsbury author and DMU alumni. The panel will run into a bookclub discussion of selected extracts from New Daughters of Africa anthology, edited by Busby.
