The 20th anniversary programme showcased a wonderfully diverse and superb selection of De Montfort University’s finest new writers.
Featuring original poetry, prose and a couple of fascinating short films, the afternoon was hosted by poet and Professor of Poetic Practice, Simon Perril.
5-star quality
In a brilliant effort from each and every contributor some highlights included the graveyard memories of Toby Pauley, the sensitive and mysterious verse of Adriana Aleksandrova, the insanely innovative prose of Jack Mitchell and the sobering audio-visual presentation, ‘End of the World’ by Hal Wilson.
The stand-out piece for me in this rollcall of quality, was the hilarious and brilliantly written original piece of flash fiction by Rohan Fitzpatrick, definitely one to watch for the future!
