thoroughly enjoyed my time at the undergraduate showcase. Every piece felt unique to the reader and it wasn’t hard to tell that all of the readers were very passionate about their work, which made them so engaging and interesting to listen to for me.

What The Poetry World Can Teach Us About Connecting With An Audience

I feel lucky to have been in the first live audience an undergraduate showcase has seen in two years. It felt very special to see everyone in the room so engaged with the reader and what they were saying, a feeling you can only really get face to face. Although it was a shame that some construction was happening just outside which made some parts difficult to understand.

Overall I was pleasantly surprised by the showcase, there wasn’t a moment I didn’t enjoy. The variety of everyone’s work kept it flowing and refreshing. I’m very excited to see what these writers produce next.
