It was wonderful to get the opportunity to see Sally Hossack’s interview with Suki Chan, an artist and filmmaker whose work uses light and moving image to explore life and the human condition. The interview itself felt intimate and honest, and I found Suki’s passion for her work both moving and inspiring.
Suki discussed how her love of light inspired her to make films that find beauty in not only the conventional, but also the unseen and overlooked.
We were shown a few of her hypnotising, beautifully paced short films capturing the movement of light through time. The atmosphere in each piece is breathtaking, and you feel yourself being drawn into a world that feels almost dream-like. It was truly fantastic!
